| Season's Second Tuesday Shootout, April 19, 2011:
After several rescheduling efforts due to rain, we finally got in our 2nd event of the year just before the rain and storms moved back into the area on Tuesday night. The event was won by Richard Fairhurst, Sarge Bickerstaff, Calvin Schmidt and Eddie Anderson shooting a blazing 7 under par 62. Shooting 63 and claiming second place was Steve Brandon, Paul Cissell, Andy Bryan and Tom Thetford. Third place was won by Harry Luton, Ken Layman, Randy Thompson and J.T. (always in the money) Graves. We want to thank everyone who braved the elements and hope you had a good time.
Gift certificates to El Chicos, Fazoli's and Subway are in the Pro Shop for pickup for those teams placing above.
The next event will be held on May 3 and the sign up sheet in the Pro Shop.
Skins went out to four teams with birdies on 1, 2, 5, 6, and 11. Skin money is in the Pro Shop for pickup for: Ed Burnett, John Gill, Ken Reising, Jerry Frensley, Jim Goodnow, Ronnie McIntosh, Tom Butler, Bill Carlson, Ed Moller, Mark Stewart, J. T. Graves, Ken Layman, Harry Luton, and Randy Thompson.
Jerry Frensley "owned" the par three "Closest To Pin" prizes with 3 out of 4--congrats to Jerry and don't forget to pickup the rest of your prizes in the Pro Shop.
Thursday Evenings at The Park
Our weekly 9 hole Thursday Evening Scramble was held again April 21. Kevin Westerfield and his band of "hustlers" Danny Adams, Bill Adams and J.T. (always in the money) Graves won the event with a 5 under par 30 on the front 9. Second place was claimed by John Gill, Gary Grace and Robert Dunaway who shot 32. Gift certificates to El Chicos, Fazoli's and Subway are in the Pro Shop for pickup.
4 skins were out so skin money was won by Mike Colson, Larry Rust, Glenn Smith, Calvin Schmidt, Kevin Westerfield, Danny Adams, Bill Adams, J. T. Graves, John Gill, Gary Grace and Robert Dunaway. Skin money is in the Pro Shop for pickup.
Special thanks to Glenn Smith and John Gill for their time to make the pairings and Larry Rust and Pizza Inn for the free buffet gift cards given to all players. Weather permitting, we will do it again next week.
